The Events Calendar is a little different from the content display scheduling.  The events calendar is just that, a calendar.  You enter in the event on the days it is going to occur and it will show up on the calendar.  You also have the option for making different categories for your calendar.  For example, a user could come to your website and see only the home fellowship category.  This is very helpful when your church has a lot of different events happening.  By making different categories for your events, people visiting your website can sort for the events in a specific category.  You can also assign a different color to each event category.
