History of Church Hub PDF Print E-mail
Church Hub began as an idea in my mind back in 1999, while I was working for an internet development company.  I had built a website for my church, which allowed the church staff to easily update the content of the site.  They simply used a web browser to type the content into simple web-based forms.  They didn’t need knowledge of any internet technologies; they only needed to know how to type.  Fast forward to 2003, and I was seeing an increasing need to bring cutting edge internet technologies to churches all over the world.  I realized the potential of what these technologies could bring to the Church.  For one, it would be an amazing means of spreading God’s Word.  It had tremendous organizational potential within individual churches, and could be an outlet for missionaries to share their work with people at home.

I began meeting with other experts in the field, and local area churches to develop the specifications and design features that would become the basis for a Church Hub powered website.  We found many open source projects that we could use as a base and build from there.

I now had multiple churches wanting a website like the one I’d developed several years earlier for my church, and I realized that time was of the essence.  We decided to choose the most important features to include for our initial release of Church Hub.  The website would be designed with the additional features in mind, for easy incorporation at a later date.

We are very excited for what we think a Church Hub powered website will do for your church.  Give us a call or head over to our Contact section, and we can talk about how to get your church up and running on the internet.  If you have a website, but it is not doing everything it can be doing for you, we can help you out with that too.

Sincerely,

David Arnold
