Easy Image and Document Uploads |

|
You can upload your own custom images or documents and edit and use them on your website. There is no need to run a File Transfer Program (FTP) or know how one works, which is the way most websites have you put files and images up.
Through the WYSIWYG Editor, just place your cursor where you want to place a document or image. For example, if you wanted to upload an image you would click on the image button. This will open a new window that shows you what images are already on your website. You can choose one of these images or you can click the upload button, which will let you pick a picture off your computer. It will then upload it to your website. You will also have options to edit the picture on the upload or after it is on your website. Many times a picture off a digital camera is too large for a website. We have set a suggested size for the image. All you have to do is click the check box, and the website will automatically shrink the image as it is uploaded. The same is true for documents. We see the need for this over and over again with the youth ministries. They are always needing to get parents permission slips, but the kids always lose them somewhere between youth group and home. When you announce the youth event on the website, you can upload the permission slip just like you do a picture. This way the parents can download it, print it and send it back with their child. Having the images and documents available in one library allows you to reuse them in other areas of your website. For example, if you upload a picture of your Pastor for his “About the Pastor” page, that picture is also available to post on any other page on the website. You may want to include it on the sermon page as well. |
