Content Display Scheduling PDF Print E-mail

You can decide when information should be shown on your website just by telling it what days to show up on.  This can be very useful for information that needs to show up around the time of a specific event.

month.jpgThis is very easy to do.  On every page you make, there are two date fields.  One is for setting the day information is to start showing and the other is for the day to stop showing.  We have placed pop-up calendars next to each one so you can just click on the date you want to start or stop an event.

For example, you could have a special welcome message on your front page that is Christmas oriented.  You could set that special message to stop showing on the front page December 26 and have a new welcome message that starts on December 26 that talks about New Years.  This information can be entered before your holiday schedule gets hectic, and the website will take care of it for you.

You can see how this would work for many of your events that end after a certain date.  Maybe you have a church retreat coming up, but you will not be in the office to take it off the website until a few days after it is over.  You can set the day it ends and it will automatically be removed.  The information stays in the administration system until you delete it. If you are doing the same thing same thing next year you could just set the dates, and next year it will show up on the website again.

This gives you an example of what is possible using the start and end dates.  By default, any page you make starts the day you save it and shows it forever.  Only if you set a start or end date will the page be delayed in showing or pulled from the public website.
